Rabbi Ian and Julia Bailey came to Kenesset Israel in September of 2008 to teach Torah, increase membership and strengthen and inspire the orthodox community. Rabbi Bailey very much enjoys Sacramento's diversity and West Coast atmosphere because it reminds him of his home town, Seattle. Rebbitzen Julia Bailey is happy to be in a place where she can make a difference and grow with a growing community.
Rabbi Bailey particularly enjoys studying and teaching Daf Yomi, an international program that learns a page a day of the Talmud, and Midrash, the homiletic and metaphoric teachings of our rabbis. He also enjoys playing basketball, reading books on psychology, linguistics and business management. Julia is active in running the mikvah, teaching children's classes, directing Sacramento NCSY, coordinating kosher food access in Sacramento, and anywhere she perceives a need in the local community.
Rabbi Bailey can be seen by appointment. You can reach Rabbi Bailey and Rebbitzen Julia Bailey at the KITC office at 916-481-1159 or at RabbiBailey@gmail.com.
